We have tried our best to just refrain from retaliating to any of the accusations that has been thrown at us. Telling ourselves to just let it go. But sometimes, it just gets way too much.
We are not saying we are always in the right. But I think sometime customers (or people who just like to join in) forget that we are just normal people with normal full time jobs. We are human. We make our mistakes. We get the wrong suppliers. We send out the wrong items. We are not perfect. We make mistakes. We are not mega business man with every business detail thought out. We are normal people still learning.
We started with zero knowledge and headless photographs. We now have a customer base of 5000 with every single item sold out. That has to count for something.
Our recent supplier & internal problems has caused us quite a bit of problems and has not put us in a favourable light. But I am sure there are ladies out there who has shopped with us and know and can testify to the quality of the apparel and services provided at room18.
We are sure alot of you would have read the serial posts by a certain customer.
This is the dress the customer ordered.
Attached are the original pictures we received of the “defected dress” she sent us.
& as for the size guides- Those are just a rough estimate and are extremely subjective. The cutting, bust size and every body part contributes to the fitting of the dress. We had a size 4/6 model wear a dress for a shoot in the exact same fitting & it looked fine. (this dress was launched and sold out in an overseas flagship boutique) And measurements were also given for the dress. So it really puzzled us why this customer was still complaining about the fit ?
Customers are always right. We shop. We like being right all the time as well.
There is really a big difference between being difficult and a defected dress.

Hi Girls,
The stocks for the military blazer, carrie blouson & schoolgirl culottes has just arrived (23/11). Packing will be done today and tmrw & you should expect your parcel by the end of this week.

And so, Room 18 is going to undergo yet another tedious process of upgrading again. I really hope that after this round of revamping the whole system, transactions will be smoother and all the hard work, time and money that is put into upgrading is going to pay off.
1) A system will be designed to record exactly which day the parcel is sent out and an email will be sent to customers to make sure that your parcels have reach your safely after 3 working days from mailing out.
2) Delivery- Normal postage costs will still be absorb by Room18. Certificates of Posting will still be available completely free of charge upon request and yes, Registered Post will also remain at $2. Courier services will also be made available.
3) Extra Help- We have gotten extra help (effective from 1st Dec 2009) ! Proper training will be given to the helpers. So we would all be expecting speedier everything.
4) Photos- Alot of you have complained about the bandwidth problem. Room18 received extremely high site traffic. & our bandwidth is usually exceeded within a week of posting causing loading errors. This problem will also be fixed and there will be no more bandwidth problems !
It has been a great 2 years and despite all the hiccups along the way. I promise you, it will only get better.
